I took this quiz in response to this article and got a score of 97. Yeah, that's me. And that is all. Not really. Lisa, how do you rate on this thing?

I found out about living arrangements overseas! Sugoii! (For those of you not in the know, I'm going to study abroad for ten months.) I get my own kitchen, but have community bath. Weird. But it works well enough for me. No roommates; this will make things easier. The dimensions are strange as well; 8'x24'. Really long and narrow, though easily still livable. But here's why I'm *really* happy about all this: the rent is all of ¥5950 per month, which, according to today's exchange rate is $49.95. No, really. The decimal IS in the correct place. Shibby, no?

They say it's a 40 minute busride to campus, because there isn't a direct bus, and so you have to transfer. For this reason, it's also a 40 minute *walk* to campus, which sounds better. However, the information didn't specify *which* campus; Tohoku University has not one, but FIVE, count 'em, FIVE, campuses in Sendai, all over Sendai. (This city also has at least one and maybe two other universities as well. Can we say college town? But I digress.) Anyway, that doesn't sound so bad to me. But winter starts about two weeks after I arrive. Perhaps will buy a bike...
