TWiT: Trophy Wife in Training.
Saw a couple of these at the Galleria yesterday. It was frightening. Two girls, couldn't have been more than eight, and maybe as young as six, dressed in designer dresses and makeup. Their hair was done up, and they were shopping for jewelry. Their mothers were there as well. It was scary: they looked just like their kids. And they were (or had at one time been) trophy wives. Is this behavior we want to encourage in our girl children? To think that the greatest goal in life is to land a rich husband who will bankroll their shopping habit, only because they're pretty and good in bed? Oh wait: we've been encouraging this behavior for decades: the Barbie syndrome. I really wish those girls better in life. It's sad enough to be a trophy wife. It's even worse to be one by training.
