Would you care for red whine or white whine, Sir?

Well, once again, torrential rain has deluged the city. I have no problem with that. I almost got stuck, but thankfully, there was someone ahead of me to point out that with no warning whatsoever, the road went from being slightly damp to buried under four to eight inches of water.
Funny how I go through such highs and lows with my car. I love it, in spite of its small engine and front wheel drive. Right after I was feeling so awesome about not having to abandon it to the river that formed on the road outside my old job, the ignition key broke off in the trunk lock. No warning at all. It went in, and half of it came out. Rrrr... But I have a spare set of keys, so no huge tragedy.
The huge tragedy is that my car is suddenly swarming with ants. WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! There is NO REASON AT ALL for them to be there. There's nothing for them to eat. I think it's just that their colonies are flooded again. (Notice the connection to rain?) I've never seen this happen before to a car. I've also noticed an directly proportional relationship to the amount of water dumped on this place and the amount of ants flooding it. (I think I've spent too much time in physics class.) What's funny is that the broken ignition key isn't preventing me from leaving, the ants are. I've said it before, and I'll repeat it here again: Nature's a mother.
